Our listserv for Kansas City area food producers encourages and supports:
-
Peer-to-Peer
information sharing
-
Bulk purchases of
supplies, seeds, etc.
-
Other
communications to help local growers be more effective and informed.
For example, a
grower could post a question to other growers “Do any of you have suggestions
for managing cucumber beetles on summer squash?” or “I’m interested in buying
a 50 gallon drum of horticultural vinegar. Would anyone like to split this
order with me?” or “I have huge quantities of winter squash that I won’t be
able to sell at my farmers’ markets. Does anyone have any ideas on where I
could sell them?"

or

You are looking for land to rent to start your
own farming operation, or
-
You have land available for rent to an organic
