Apprenticeship opportunities: Unpaid apprenticeships, as well as limited part-time and/or full-time paid positions.

Mellowfields Farm, established in 2009, is located on the eastern edge of Lawrence. We produce a wide variety of certified organic produce on three acres, including growing under cover in tunnels.  Our markets include direct sales through farmers market, a  grocery store, food hub, and restaurant accounts.

Jessi is a former Growing Growers apprentice from 2006

Growing Growers participants will be involved in all areas of production, harvesting, as well as, exposure to our marketing and record keeping process. A good candidate should have transportation, a desire to learn the ins and outs of market farming, and a desire for physically demanding and rewarding work. Apprentices should be able to consistently work 20 hours/week, May through September.
