TableTop Farms located in the rolling hills of northwest Missouri on our family’s century farm is a year-round Certified Naturally Grown farm with many diversities to include 1-2 acres of vegetables, cow calf herd, laying hens, farrow to finish pastured pork, and pastured chicken. Our farm is managed organically with the passion to grow the most flavorful, nutrient-dense foods that are safe for you and your family. We work with nature to produce the best food possible by encouraging healthy soils with abundant life. We focus more on feeding the soil through minimally mined fertilizers, and compost to build a habitat for beneficial earthworms, nematodes and other life in the soil using minimal tillage practices. We do not use synthetic pesticides and fertilizers.
Volunteer Apprentice are welcomed at 12-15 hours a week to work alongside us in the weekly tasks learning in the field and receiving a share of the weekly harvest. You will be exposed to market gardening vegetable production, pastured pigs, pastured poultry, and rotational grazing cattle. Volunteering allows you to experience farming. For the 2024 season, we are hiring for one position to work alongside us in the daily tasks of the gardens and occasional animal task. Tasks could consist of greenhouse sowing, transplanting, all aspects of bed preparation and flipping, harvesting, wash/packaging, and animal rotation tasks. Must be able to work with the crew or independently. We are primarily an outdoors operation. You will be working in the elements that mother nature gives us for the day. Reliable transportation, good work ethic, and the willingness to learn are needed. Paid weekly plus a share of extra veg from the farm, starting $12-15hrs, Mon-Fri. 40 hour weeks, Morning hours are required start time 7am. We also have the availability of housing via a camper.
